I am caring for my brother who had a HORRIBLE itchy irritated site around the stoma...I took everyone's advice on here and ordered iLEX cream...and it is SUCH a lifesaver!!! I tried 7 (yes count them)7 creams and powders that my brother's ostomy nurse suggested...but this is SO great. I even use it on my hands that are severely itchy and dry from washing them all the time caring for my brother. Honestly, it's no joke. And the customer service reps are SO helpful at that company...I had 2 tubes overnighted...I ordered it at 2pm on Monday and it was here at 9:45am on Tuesday. Good luck to you...my brother had the same issue...the itching was just driving him crazy!
P.S. They have a link to iLEX at the top of this page.

Hi C-Bear, I think that Highroller was referring to the scar after the stoma was closed but thanks for the tip about using it on your hands. My hands are always really dry from washing them no matter what hand cream I use so I'll give your suggestion a try as I have both Ilex and powder in my ostomy kit. Shell One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers!

Hey Shell! lol..yup, I knew she meant the scar...I just figured if it worked so goo on my hands and things it might work on a scar as well...honestly, that stuff is a miracle! lol My husband jokes that I"m going to become a spokesperson for it, but I think I might! I used it on my ring finger where my ring was agitating the skin and boom! It worked there too! lol ilex all the way! But thanks for keeping me on my toes Shell!
