Been a while since I posted, hope all is doing well. I got a quick question regarding extended release tablets. My doctor is switching me from as needed Vicodin to a longer acting morphine. Will I digest this properly, or should I talk to her about the quick digestion and look at something else?
Thanks all

back when i still had my jpouch, and it was inflamed..i had to take oxycodone that was quick release for my pain and to slow things down...i tried the slow acting stuff and it didn't work well for me.
Thanks. I have to pick it up this afternoon from her office, so I might just inquire. Is there a liquid form or equivalent of this time release that is absorbed in the stomach for us ostomates, or are we stuck with the shorter acting drugs? Thanks,

There would not be a liquid form, otherwise it could not be time release. I suggest you try it and see if it works for you. Are you sure it is time release? Just because it is longer acting, it does not mean it is time release. An example is Dilaudid, which is a longer acting opiate, but it is not time release.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
