My 2 year old is obsessed with Dora nad Diego. Today we bought some chalk shaped like Dora and of course, it broke in two within 15 minutes.

I tried using elmer's glue but it absorbed right into the chalk. Same with super glue. Tape held for about 1 second. While I was trying to figure out what to do I had a brainstorm. I use an Eakin cut up to fill a dip in my skin...that Eakin lasts 6 or seven appliance changes. I cut a small piece from it, stretched it, flattened it and viola! Dora is fixed.

What I would have done if I hadn't had access to medical grade adhesive, I do not know Big Grin

Great job Jill! We should start a list - "Alternative Uses for Ostomy Supplies".

I once saved a party by using Pink Tape to take a hold in the keg hose. It held for the entire day! The bar tender wanted to know where she could get some. Hmmm - I didn't actually tell her what I used it for. Wink

Well after hearing Tricia's success with Pink Tape for fixing the keg hose I decided to use it as a temporary fix for our leaking shower hose. It held for 6 weeks until I remembered to go and guy a new one. Smiler

I have also used the medical adhesive remover that I use to take my wafer off to get the sticky residue from price tags on shoes and other goods. I even gave some to my Mum to get the lable off her car windscreen when she took the ferry to the UK recently. One quick spray and it was completely gone.

I have also used stomahesive powder to dry up blisters on my feet from new shoes and it also helps to quickly heal small wounds by drying it up and allowing the bandaid to stay stuck on.

Anyone else have any ideas to share? Smiler

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink
