Hey, Jason, how's it going with the filtered bags? My coloplast filter doesn't work at all - clogs right away, so I'm really a gasbag!! Burping the darn thing three times per night and sleep is interrupted because I'm sure bag's going to burst so I'm constantly checking it. Of course being compulsive doesn't help here!!!

Thanks for update!

Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I don't get that problem with the coloplast bags but that could be because I change my bag every morning after my shower.

I'm waiting with baited breath to see how the gas bag trial goes. Jason???? Big Grin

Cool Shell Cool

One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers! Wink

Ok, I put it on yesterday afternoon (ya I was lazy lol) and last night ate 16 chicken wings and chips and so on. I then went into the hottub with a cigar for about 1 hour 15 min! Went to bed and was expecting the huge rock balloon bag in the am. No air, no smell no leaks. THIS IS ONLY DAY 2 SO FAR and I will give the full report mid week - Its going to go 5 to 8 days Smiler So far loving the air that comes out so I dont have to burp!

just another update.. I AM REALLY LOVING THIS! Was at a hockey game and 0 air in it ... no smell, no leaks and really is more then I hoped for!
Through the night had a little air ( I drank 2 diet Dr peppers right b 4 I went to bed) the air wasnt anything near what it should be. I also didnt empty b 4 bed to see if any output would find its way out filter. Well, no leaks out filter and so far I am really loving this new bag/filter. It is day 2 1/2 and I want to see if the filter holds up after 5 days (thats the test for me it has to be able to go 5 days)
Keep you updated but so far really 100% great with the air issue!

Hey J,

Thanks for the product testing..

How does the pouch look when full?
Does it stick out as much on the top, as other Hollister products do?

I wear 1 size up in pants... I am not sure .. you cant see anything on me even at work where i have to tuck my shirt in. PM me your address and I will send you 1 set up and you can try it and see if you like it.
I am a believer of this set up .. so far I am really liking it a lot!
I usually empty 1/2 full or a bit more and cant see anything at all (IMO)

Ok, On day 3 and here is what I notice. During the day no matter what I eat of drink I have almost no air at all in there - I am thrilled and think it really has inprove fromt he old filters. No smell, no leaks and I go in hot tub and shower and so on with it. I think it must have something to do with my pants putting some pressure on bag and pushing the air through a bit more.
When I sleep I notice a little air in the bag when I get up. Now remember I am wearing lose pjs and there isnt that pressure on the bag... Also I sleep 6 - 8 hours straight and no need to empty. The air is only a little and again no leaks, smell or anything.
I will wear it two more days (that will be 5 or 6 days) and if this holds up how it is now I will be making the move back to a filtered bag.
100% improvement over the old filters!
thumbs up LOL! Razzer

Hey Jason, just wondering, I'm guessing the new filtered bag has its own wafer.? Is this right?

Yep, its a 2 piece... But like I said... Holliester said ever bag (1 piece or 2 piece system ) will have the filter option. So whatever you liked or used before you can now have a filter. I kept the same bag - 2 piece with flet on front and back.

Thanks for posting this review, Jason. I'm going to give them a call to see if they'll send me some to try too!

Hmmm, Jason, now Hollister is willing to send two plates and bags: seems you've been very successful in your commendations. Mebbe you oughtta give up being a statie and go to work for Hollister <g>. I ordered two, and will try them in the vertical position to see how they work with true gasbags (you're not a contender there if you have to drink beer or soda to create it - some of us are born pooping out gallons!Wink. Since it won't be worth a rat's a$$ for those of us who wear the thing horizontally, I also made a suggestion to them about developing a product line of horizontal-wear bags. Thanks so much for continuing support!

LOL Barbara!
I really like these. At night there is air when i wake up in bag - not a ton though but air( i sleep 6 to 8 hours) but not a lot so the filter is working and NOTHING leaks. The huge difference I love is during the day i have 0 air. I think the pressure of pants pushing on it helps .. But I mean no air at all ... based on that alone I am switching!
Oh ya perfect in hot tub !

Hey, Jason,

Is the number on the Hollister bag New Image 18182?? I just got my two today and tried puffing on the filter from the inside of the bag. Nothing seems to go through. I wanna make sure I've got the right gas bag here!

Barbara, the original gas bag
