I can not find the catalog with the exact name right now but I was wondering if anyone has used any of these little packets that you place in your bag to make liquid output thicker?
My sons loop ileo is all liquid all the time and I thought these might help him be less "sloshy" and less liquid to possibly seep under wafer. ALso any luck with insurance paying for it? Any wisdom would be appreciated. Laura 7 y.o. son with CD -colectomy at age 3 with end ileo -IRA with loop ileo 8/08 remicade/elemental feedings |

I use ileo-sorb when my output is really liquidy. It isn't a packet that you put in the pouch- you scoop a bit of the granules into your pouch or over your stoma. The samples do come in little packets, but you have to pour the contents into the pouch to use it. It works pretty well for me. I don't know whether insurance covers it or not. I bought a big jar of it four years ago and have used about 1/4 of the jar. You can always ask your supplier.

This is the page from edgepark which lists all products. I would recommend trying a lower cost supplier, tho.
