Does anyone else use them? I have to for my son that was born with Hirschsprung's Disease

They are good on the phone, but their website was horrible.

They finally updated their website and now they offer supply management with autoship items.

We will see how it works. Hopefully for the better.

Now for a question.
My insurance company allows 3 month supplies to be ordered and I figure, why not.

We go with what the insurance thinks should last for three months but it is a huge amount of supplies.

Should I just stock pile them and when he finally has his ostomy closure, donate the items? I am torn to think if it is ethically wrong to do that.

Meanwhile, if there is a problem with insurance or a natural disaster, I have plenty of supplies on hand.

I have used Edgepark since I've had my ileostomy, and in my opinion they're awesome. Usually when I order supplies it only takes 2-3 days to arrive. I agree with the website it's confusing sometimes...LOL
I think it is a good idea to donate any unneeded/un used supplies, I'm sure there are those out there who would be more than grateful to receive them.

Until our paths cross again......

I too have used them for 5 years and they are always great and fast shipping, etc.I order what the ins allows and have a inventory. I send things to members that need them and have also donated to needy people I am told about through the ostomy support groups.

Or you could see if you could send back your unused supplies to the company. That way you avoid the 'unethical' problem. I know it's nice to donate the supplies to people in need, but I think I'm like you - I would be concerned about taking advantage of a good thing - not to mention insurance costs on the rise. But either way, I think having extra supplies on hand is a good thing. Especially for that day when everything you do cannot make the dang thing work and you have to go through a month's supply in one day.....

I always ordered from Edgepark and had great success with the company. I didn't have any problems ordering on the website...except for forgetting my password! Smiler

I always ordered enough to stay ahead of the demand, in other words, I tried to predict how much of everything I would need for one month, and then I ordered once a month. I didn't have too much left over when I had my takedown surgery, and I donated the leftover supplies to the ostomy nurses at my hospital, who give them to indigent patients.
