I use it all the time and have had great success. My stoma is a real nice one, so the flat is all I need. I don't even mold the moldable anymore. It's the 7/8" size. Caty

I've been using them since my revision to an end-ileo, and I like them. I only wish they weren’t so rigid. I’d like them to conform to my body better so when I bend over I don’t have it jab me. TAL, try snapping the bag on and off the wafer a few times before you do your change. That loosens up the plastic a bit and makes it easier to snap on when the wafer in on your belly. The seal will be just as good. I had one batch that was difficult to snap in and used this method to help. Since then I really haven’t had to do that. Maybe you got a bad batch too?

TAL, here's another tip that made things a lot easier for me when I learned it. Exhale on the bag seal right before you snap it on. The moisture in your breath lubricates the seal enough to make the connection much much easier. -Jerry

My daughter loved the moldable (she had a jpouch surgery recently) but she preferred the STOMAHESIVE as opposed to the Durahesive because it lasts longer! We got 5-6 days with the Stomahesive moldable while the Durahasive gave us 3-4. Maybe it was just her, but it was great! My mom (75 rs old) won't give up her good old measure and cut even though we beg her to try the moldable!

Lucy's Mom, I find it strange that Lucy prefer's the stomahesive wafers to the durahesive especially with an ileostomy which tends to have more watery, acidic output. It just goes to show how different we all are. I would love to try the new flat moldables but until they come up with an adhesive coupling like their convex moldables I shan't be trying them. I love the low profile of the adhesive coupling. Also, another question? Is the flat moldable wafer Durahesive or Stomahesive? Shell One glass of red wine per day is good for the heart..... it's just that mine's a big heart so I need a very big glass!!!! D-| Cheers!

Update on the flat moldable, I tried two of the new flat moldable and they worked good. I still like the convex moldable better, not quite sure why as I had no leaks with the flat one and no other real issues with it. I will stick with the convex. Shell, the flat moldable that I tried was durahesive, I specifically asked the rep on the phone about them being durahesive as I have found I like the durahesive best.
