My anus has been closed for 29 years...but has a teeny tiny opening and lately I have had a little bit of light blood spotting. I now have pain...like little razor cut, some burning and a little itching and think I may have a fissure.

I see the GI dr. Thurs, but wondering if anyone ever has ever had this years after it's all removed?

Hi Janice,

I sometimes get a little sore area just where my anal scar is. I have no idea why but it is usually self-limiting and just goes away on it's own. Mine also starts out a little itchy and then becomes sore. Sometimes I will have to use a little cortisone cream down there to help it along a bit.

However, as with anything new, you really should show it to your doctor so if it's still bothering you then please do mention it to your GI on Thursday when you see him.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Take care

Hi Shell, you were right on. GI dr says it's just a little irritated - no fissures. Gave me some cream and said not to worry - may come and go.
