I'm having my j-pouch disconnected tomorrow. I had takedown in December of '06. I can't remember anything about my temp ileo. I must have deleted those files after takedown. I'm trying to remember what brands I liked, and worked the best for me. Never thought I'd be here again, I guess I should have backed up those files. Smiler

Have a fabulous day!

I understand where you are at....I was disconnected last July after 7 yrs with the jpouch.....But, it all comes back quickly...

I would say that it really doesn't matter what supplies/brands you used before, as each ostomy is different and you may need something different than what worked for you back then..plus there are new products out now also..Your ET nurse will help you find what will work best for this ostomy..
I had the numbers of what I used before from Convatec...my pharmacy had then on file...but I'm using something different with this ostomy...
Anyhow, Good Luck to you tomorrow...I hope everything goes well and you'll soon be feeling better.....

Hi Cataja.

I was the same when I got Wee Willie. It had been 8 years since my temp ileostomy so not only couldn't I remember what I used, everything had changed anyway. I couldn't believe how many nice new products there were out there.

Char is right, no two ostomies are the same. I would get some of the suppliers to send you some free samples. That way you'll have a selection to try out.

Good luck hun.

Luv & hugs
