Sorry this comes two months later, but I thought I would share still. Though I cannot even begin to act like I know what might be causing your pain, I did have a pretty bad incidence a few years ago that hospitalized me and it was attributed to my use of NSAIDS. NSAIDS have been known to create ulcers. For me, it created an ulcer that happened to hit a blood vessel and I lost A LOT of blood really quickly. So, maybe it is worth looking into to see if the NSAIDS are causing some idsruptions in your pouch?

Ronni thanks for your reply. Still not well, doctors thought pouchitis then opportunistic bowel infection caused by antibiotics and now possibly adhesions. Sigh.... Ann

Ann,
I'm sorry for not seeing your original post from June. I do recall it being mentioned that there can be NSAID induced pouchitis. I did a site search on that term (NSAID induced pouchitis) and it returned three posts. Hope this helps.

Ann, Type "NSAID" in the "find" section. Make sure you uncheck "this forum only" so you get results from the entire j-pouch site. There are 4 pages of NSAID issues.
I was one who had NSAID-induced pouchitis and it was a very nasty case. I was taking Ibuprofen for migraine relief. Never again.

Rose thank you for your reply. I did search the site and indeed there are many references to pouchitis and NSAIDs. My symptoms continue and are as debilitating as having UC. Cheers Ann
