I don't think the wine would cause cramping.
It definitely causes water stool and butt burn. Beer and wine are the worst choice of beverage for that. My doc told me that a long time ago.Doesn't mean you can't have it, jsut know what to expect. I had 1 beer yesterday and was in the bathroom 6 times! Not worth it.
Yes, you are still healing. It takes a good year. If the pain gets worse I would call the dr.
Three weeks after surgery seems a bit soon to be drinking alcohol.
I have found that surgeons do nor know much about diet or nutrition, they just know surgery.
Check out the diet guidelines on the link on top, it may help you. It is trial and error as we are all different.

Alcohol does the opposite for me. Anytime I drink my stool gets thicker.

Wine and beer don't react very well with me either. In fact I specifically remember the first couple of years with the pouch to be a bit troublesome any time I had wine in particular (I still avoid if possible...spirits seem to have no adverse effects). letting your body adjust to the pouch a bit before trying again will help. hope you are feeling better now.
