I had my take down in Feb'03. But immediately started suffering from Pouchitics. On & off of Antibiotics. So decided to try out alternative as In India i could lay my hand on effective probiotics after remission from Antibiotics. Hence i started on Homeopathy tables. There was remission for little bit longer but still i had to take antibiotics say @ once in 2-3 months. Then along with Homeopathy i started some Breathing
technique ( called Pranayam). THe effect was quite positive. I had not taken any antibiotics for almost a year now. Also there is no BM. I still go @ 7-8 times a day. But now weight has also increase & have manage to keep a steady job.I am thinking of stopping Homeopathy now & continue only with Breathing technique & some yoga & meditation.Also i want to try VSL3. But the stuff is not available in India. Hence to continue my steady job i am still taking Homeopathy & will try to stop once i try out some effective probiotics.

May I ask what homeopathic remedy you use? And strenght?

That's great to here nikhil! I am also in remission from pouchitis and doing that more natural route w/VSL#3 and a strict bland diet with foods high in probiotics. Coming up on 3 weeks. Take Care

Dear LoriP, I don't have the recepe of the Homeo medicine ingredient. The composition & strenght are with the clinic.
Also I know Atul in Mumbai. We keep in touch. But still it is difficult to lay hands on VSL#3.
Can some one help me in procuring VSL#3.

My daughter uses it faithfully and has had no trouble since her takedown(Feb 9th, 07) whatsoever. She did have an adjustment period of about two weeks...alot of stomach rumbling, gas etc, but since then, not much gas to speak of, no butt burn, and goes 4-7x a day. Best of health to you.
