Anyone out there taking Remicade or Imuran for pouchitis..I am 2 1/2 years post surgery taking cipro one gram daily along with Xifaxin 600mg bid. It controls me ok but I have both cuffitis and pouchitis lingering... I need better control...I had UC for 30 years prior to colectomy and J pouch..Imuran worked for me when I had my colon but it,s strong stuff..Anyone with similar issues..Jay

Be careful - Remidade and Imuron gave me NRH (Noduler Regentative Hyperplasisa) of my liver.
Dr.s mis-diagnosed as bone cancer, then Hodgkins disease of the liver. Had several bone marrow biopsies, 2-surgical liver wedge biopsies and 1 percuatnious liver biopsy befre they made final NRH diagnosis. This condition can cause high portal vein blood pressure. Varacies need to be checked regularly for any bleeding.
