Horrific cuffitis now bight red blood..I have been using lidocaine gel but am now being prescribed bella donna suppositories. Are these as hard to get as I am hearing??? I have the handwritten Rx. I live in Houston...

I've been able to get mine through mail order pharmacy. I live in Dallas and was never able to get them from a local pharmacy whether it be a chain or a mom and pop store. Maybe you'll have better luck, but I would contact a mail order and ask them if they have them in stock. You'll have to mail in the Rx as legally they can't accept a fax for these or a phoned in Rx. Also can't get more than a one month supply. You'll figure it out, but it's not like getting any other Rx, in my experience.

Twisted pouch 2007 & 2008. Pouchopexy operation 2008.

Diagnosed with Lupus (from Humira?) and efferent limb syndrome 2010. Crohn's questioned. On belladonna/opium suppository for efferent limb. No other IBD drugs Smiler

same here.....using canasa..maybe I will ask about he bella donna..licodaine gel does nothing for me to help the cutting glass feeling and pressure...

Finally got the supposotories only to find out I had a bladder and kidney infection as well. All the inflammation was just so painful.

I do like the supposotories however I feel a bit hungover the next day at work. I never take any pain meds so maybe I am super senstitive.

It's something that's worn off for me over time. At first, I got kind of a "buzz" off the first one I used, but now they don't really phase me, but I take them regularly.
