Alright all,

Im am 2 1/2 weeks post takedown and feeling run down, tired, and am finding it alot tougher than i ever imagined. I just want to write alittle about what im experiencing and see if this is how its expected to be.

Im heading to the loo about 10 times daily and 3-4 times at night,

I am still suffering from stomach cramps which give me urgency, i can hold on for a while maybe about hour or so, but the cramps are normally every 10 mins, i take buscopan to help with this, i put alot down to it being wind but it does seem that as soon as any stool gets into my pouch the cramps start.

If i time it right, and head to the loo just before a cramp i seem to empty and release wind as the cramp happens. i worry that if these stop i wont be able to successfully release wind.

I'm finding that i feel physically tired all the time even making food and general house stuff gives me an ache in my bottom area if stood about for a few minutes.

I think im probably expecting to much to soon, i know. i just find it very frustrating.

I cant tell wether im finding it hard to empty my pouch or that it doesnt have anything substantial in it and the cramps are making me think its full.

I play with the idea i could have pouchitis as have, watery stool, dont feel sick but lousy, am cold alot of the time, and once in a while the watery stool has a redish tint. and on off cramping.

Sorry to ramble and again i know its early days but as im sure you all appreciate after waiting 18 months im just wanting a successfull outcome.

Any advice appreicated... or of simular overcomes experienced

Cheers GH

I would certainly talk to your doctor. It may be pouchitis, or it could be something else. I didn't experience much cramping, although I had the noisiest stomach around. Are you still on prednisone? I found that made me feel like crap.

It can take a couple to several months for your body to find its "new normal."
