Hi Nanco,

Yes, many people here have taken the combination of Cipro and Flagyl, to varying degrees of success. It's really based on the individual. If you do a search under the Find tab for "cipro and flagyl" you will find many past threads where people discuss the issue.

Welcome to the boards.

Yes, for 16 years I have taken them together as a cocktail, in rotation with other antibiotics. I have had high degree of success and minimal side effects so long as I rotated off in a timely fashion.

Nanco, I'm currently on Cipro and Flagyl. I tolerate them well with minimal side effects. They're worked very well for over a month until the beginning of this week, when I started to go to the bathroom a little more. Today I'm noticing that extremely uncomfortable internal feeling in my rectum and some urgency. I'm praying it's the potato chips and chocolate I ate - maybe I'll get lucky! If not, I'll call my nurse practitioner tomorrow to see what the next step is.
