Hi,
Have just been told that I have pouchitis and am being put on various steroids. Just wondering is there any changes to diet I could make that would help or is there anything to avoid/eat more of?

Thanks,
Hel

Diet should be as tolerated, meaning if spicy foods normally give you a mild case of butt-burn and/or the runs, it's definitely out while you try to get over the pouchitis... more along using common sense and not exacerbating your symptoms.
But, I'd also stay away from eating too many carbs, especially sugar, since bacteria just feeds on it and can cause increased output. And, I'd add a probiotic to your daily regimen if you aren't already taking one. Smiler
