Hi, I posted before about having c diff. The doctor I was originally seeing told me that the scope she performed only showed mild inflamation and no further treatment was needed. Well I kept feeling like my pouch was irritated and I knew I could feel better than I was. So I went to a new GI Doctor Thursday and he did a stool culture which finally came back negative!!! And he also did a flex scope which showed some ulcers, (The same ones that didnt need treatment). So he prescribed Flagyl 500 mg 3 x a day for three weeks and a Mesalamine suppository. I have always responded to Cipro and Flagyl before I had c diff, so Im concerned that just taking Flagyl wont work but The GI doctor said that with my history of C diff he just wants to try the Flagyl first. Any Thoughts??? Thanks!!
