I am currently diverted from my j-pouch due to had a rectovaginal fistula that had to be repaired, but I still have some leakage which my doc says was normal. I have been running high fevers up to 104 degrees since Thursday and having large amount of leakage from my pouch, but no pain in my pouch. Do you think this could be pouchitis?

A fever usually is accompanied by an infection of some sort. Low grade (100-101) is not to abnormal but it indicates something wrong. With you getting as high as 104, i would personally be heading to the er quickly. I agree with dtmack. Any adult with a high fever (104 or above) needs to go to the ER. www.lifeisapotty.blogspot.com C-diff: 3/2001 UC Diagnosis: Summer 2002 Step 1: 9/10/10 Step 2: 12/8/10 Cuffitis: 2/2011 Chronic Pouchitis: 11/2011

I think I would call or go to the ER. Whenever my daughter has to have something done, they say to call when a fever is over 101

When the fevers started I was diagnosed with the flu, but I should have known better!!! I went to my doc and went for an exam under anesthesia the next morning and sure enough had some BAD pouchitis. Thankfully it will not interfere with me having my second takedown on Aug.24th!!! Thanks for the replies
