Okay, for one week I was on Flagyl, worked great, but I broke out in hives. Then I started to get an achey pain.I called the Doc, he said Flagyl-I was allergic to and switched me to Cipro. I have one day left of Cipro. BUt still have this achey pain where my pouch is...any ideas? Any one have this happen? I am just wondering if I still have pouchitis? Thanks for your inputs---Sue Smiler

I have a similar feeling in my pouch; it almost feels sore and more so when I'm standing up than when I'm sitting. I don't have any thoughts for you yet; I'm going to the doctor today but I'll let you know if he has any ideas.
Just know that you aren't alone.

I've posted this before. I was on an antibiotic and still had achey pouch a few months back (May). Any how, I have achey pouch again. Is it possible to have an achey pouch and not have pouchitis? Because, I did start to eat ALOT of salads lately, and would this cause the pouch to ache--you know, diet related? It woke me up and kept me up last night. I have no other symptoms. Any response? Thanks all! Peace, Sue Roll Eyes

And now, my stomach has some achieness(how the heck do you spell that Roll Eyes) Anyhow, does it sound like pouchitis to anyone? I am going to call the Dr tomorrow --I don't know why, but I hate calling him! I took a tylenol with codeine...Don't know what else to do! --Peace, Sue

Hi SCL,

It seems that I always get achey type pain with pouchitis, in pouch and general abdo too.
The Dr seems to think that this is unusual, but several folks here have mentioned it, so I guess it's not.

I take paracetamol/codein tablets which make life bearable.

Hope you feel better soon.
