After fighting with Pouchitis for a couple of years I finally got to see a GI who put me on Cipro 1000 Mg a day for 6 weeks.
He then prescribed VSL #3. Now I have a new problem since taking the VSL. I am very constipated which results in some pain and a lot of pressure and urgency with poor results (if you know what I mean). 1. Will VSL cause this? 2. Is it safe to use a mild laxitive or a suppository?, and; 3. Is what I am experiencing just another form of Pouchitis? |

i've been taking 3 vsl#3 a day and it can cause gas pains...i take it with immodium to slow things down recently...
it might just be gas because a lot of people complain about vsl#3 causing gas. Try reducing your VSL#3 a little and see if it helps. Tyler |
