Since July I have been going much more frequently to the bathroom. 20 plus times per day. Not as much control as I used to have and leakage sometimes at night. Pain in lower abdomin and very tired. Had scope in September, diagnosed with slight pouchitis and cuffitis. Using Flagyl 2X daily and Cipro 1 daily. Also using foam/suppositories daily. Not getting much better. Have this feeling when I go to the washroom that I should be having an explosion, then little comes out and something inside hurts and I feel like something closes over and nothing more will come down. Very painful and fustrating. Then once I get all cleaned up and ready to go, sometimes I have to start all over again. Before this flare up I always passed alot of gas and that allowed me to empty the pouch. Cannot pass any gas now. Any suggestions. Have been back to the specialist 3 weeks ago and that is when we added the foam. Not doing much. Pain is much less but that is about it. Feels to me the same as when I had UC. By the way have been on 1 Cipro daily for 3 years now.

Have you been checked for a stricture?

Sounds like a stricture. I am being treated for one right now. I had a little surgery (just clipped the scar tissue), and am now using dilators. See your surgeon about treating what is likely a stricture causing fissures, which are what causes the burning, even sharp searing pain you may be feeling.

What is a stricture? I believe it is a narrowing inside somehow. I used to visit this site and recall that they would sometimes stretch it. Would that not cause more urgency and less control. ( I now feel like I need to squeeze me checks most of the time).
