Hello all, UC for a bout 10 years, in 2005 got my large intestine taken out. Been feeling amazing since then. 3 weeks ago candida throat infection started (this is something that my doc says happens to people with bad immune systems - has this ever happened to anyone else here?) Been taking meds, don't seem to work and now my old UC symptons are back - any food I eat grinds my stomach with pain, and now going to bathroom 15 times a day. I thought this kind of stuff was over since the surgery but maybe that was wishful thinking. Now waiting to see specialist but waiting list is long. Could this be poutchitis? (symptoms) A doc at the clinic just gave me some Teva- Pantoprazole to maybe help my stomach but after reading a bit online before its usually used to treat ulcers ... does anyone have any experience with this at all? Bummed out and a bit lost ... any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, M. | |||
