Hi all,

What are your thoughts on enemas? Do many of you take eneams, and if so, which ones??

I have just started taking pred-sol (steroid based-prednisone), and they seem to work well. I understand that teh amount of absorbtion into the blood is minimal.

I have problems taking oral antbiotics, so for now i need to look at enema avenues.

Would like to hear what enemas you guys are taking if any and how effective are they?

Thanks
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
I took hydrocortisone enemas a few months back when I got a nasty case of pouchitis after using Ibuprofin for migraines. I, too, was told that very little is absorbed into your system. I started using VSL-3, eating Activia and other kinds of yogurts and am now OK. Don't need steroid enemas any longer.
