hi..i am a antidependent pouchitis jpoucher..to function i must not only be on antibiotics all the time but i need to rotate them

recently after having a knee surgery and having some issues with lost apetite and naucea my dr. shen told me to get tested for c-diff(this is a real concern for people who use antibiotics ,especially ongoing)i did infact have c-diff..it is treated ironically by an antibiotic called vycomyacine..usually it is cleared up by a 10 to 14 day treatment of the antibiotic however these are my questions

1.any other antidependant folks every have this
issue?

2. can you continue taking the antibiotics you rotated before?

i have followed up on c-diff and learned alot about it..xifaxin following the vycomyacine is okay for maintainance so it seems but there is also studies done that use two probiotics that with vycomyacine work better..s.boulardii and lactobicillus gg that come in form of culturelle and florestor..

does anyone know if continuing them has kept c-diff from reoccurring?

i have not gotton my test results yet for c-diff but have been on both the above and am know on xifaxin..

any input on these issues are appreciated and discussion about c-diff is probably inportant topic for those on antibiotics..

thanks
rebecca
