I had 1 year of normal after seeing Dr. Shen and switching to Humira. Then it quit working after cycling thru cipro and Flagyl without success for 3 months I got ahold of some Prednisone cycled starting from 60mg using this to control flare ups I was able to gain 25 pounds and quadruple my endurance. I even competed in a race called the tough mudder.I felt better than I had in years. I have lost my supply line of Prednisone and have to go back to a doctor to try and get more or something else to control my current flare up. Does anyone have any other Medicine they have found to work for this kind of flare ups. I know Prednisone isn't great to be on but its the only thing I can take that works right now.

How about Entocort (budesonide)? It is an oral steroid, but poorly absorbed and considered topical. Less risk of systemic side effects.

I suppose you tried the 5-ASA meds (Azulfidine, Asacol, or Pentasa), since you were on Humira. If not though, might be worth a try.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.
