I am reading these posts and trying to see where I fit in..In the begining I use to go 6-10 times per day. I did not mind this because they where formed quick drops without pain or suffering. I now have my pouch for one year. I sometimes still go many times or until I am empty. During this time it is pain with gas bloating and straining to get everything out.

I usually have pain when it appears gas or stool is dropping into the pouch? Can anyone tell me what that pain is from?

I am also constipated for up to four days than I have to give myself an enema or pray I will go. When I finally start to go I go till I empty out and the process starts again.

Any response is appreciated..

It might be anal spasms - particularly if you're not emptying properly. I find if I go many times and the pouch isn't emptying properly then I get a kind of "pushing" pain in the pouch/anal area.

Have you been checked for a stricture where the pouch joins the anus? That could potentially explain your problems.
