Hi everyone
I am suffering of pouchitis since 1983, I was diagnosed with ulcerous colitis in 1981, I ve' been trying a number of different approaches to at least get closer to a more normal life...after reading all the testimonious here I realized first that I am not alone, second that eventhough it is frustrating there is always hope to finally find something less chimical that will work...a more natural approach. Hi Yayo,
Welcome to the site, as you have probably already noticed this is a great place to learn, share and get to know people who are all going through the same things. Sorry to hear that you have been suffering with pouchitis for so long. That must be totally frustrating for you. I have only had my pouch for a year now and had my first round with pouchitis and antibiotics a month ago but I had been suffering from pouchitis for months before they figured out what was going on. What are you currently taking for you pouchitis? Are you on antibiotics all the time? I have read other posts that some people have to be on meds daily for years because of chronic pouchitis. Are you taking any probiotics? ** Christine ** UC dx Oct 2003; Step 1 - 10/8/2005; TakeDown - 05/19/2006 The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.
