I am almost 3 years post colectomy and rectum removal with ileoanal pull through with j-pouch. I am almost 2 years post take down. I had a bout of pouchitis from nov to march of this past year. I had increased loose stools, leaking at night, and an overall yucky feeling. I have had issues with a stricture at the anastamosis sight where they connected my anus to the pouch. I had a perrforation in my pouch 3 days post surgery and had the stricture dilated every 2 weeks for 14 months and then I was dilated every 6-8 weeks. I have been able to go about 3 months now but have been having a ton of pressure and pain in my pouch/anal area. It is so uncomfortable I have been taking ibuprofrin and finally some pain killers just to function. Could this be from pouchitis?

I felt this kind of pressure and pain initially after my colectomy due to an abscess that formed by the perrforation. It was putting pressure on the pouch and this feels similar. Could it be from an abscess? I am nervous. I have been dealing with the pressure and painfor a week now and can't get in to see my doctor and have a scope until Sept 1st because my husband got a new job and we don't have insurance until then.

Any advice?
