I believe this has to do with pouchitis but does anyone recover from pouchitis for a while after being sick, like a cold or the flu? This seems to happen to me quite a bit. This message has been edited. Last edited by: tazboy, @ age 18: Feb 96 - colon removal May 96 - takedown hemorrhage Sept 96 - successful takedown

I don't recall this ever being the case for me.

Just going through the tail end of an inner ear infection and have noticed that my bowels have been much better than usual. Even commented on this to my wife. The last week or so was thinking about how my bowels do seem better during or just after I have an infection such as cold/flu and then came upon your post!
