Even without this surgery, alcohol is well known to put a damper on both libido and sexual function. You may be excessively sensitive to it right now. Beer is also known to cause havoc with pouch output.

As a male that enjoys having his Miller Lites I'll reply to this. I know it's an old topic but hopefully the original poster is subscribed. Cut back on your alcohol intake before intercourse. That doesn't mean you can't have a beer, but make SURE you are fully hydrated. Dehydration seems to affect me more than anything in this regard, and since we have no colon, we dehydrate quickly with alcohol intake. Drink multiple bottles of water before having your beer(s). It should help a whole lot.
