Ok, long story short.
I was in the hostipal just about a month ago to have a fistula removed. I had the foley cath, inserted, so I had that in for a few days. It never bothered me and the operation went fine. I did have other problems after the fact but thats another story.

My issue is now that i'm home and feeling a little better I wanted to make sure everything else was still working,
So I helped myself out in the private area if you know what I mean. Well everything seemed fine untill I saw what came out! it was like a mix between blood and rust color. I've only done it two times so far so I'm hoping it was just junk that was left from the foley being in.

Anybody have this happen? I don't want to tell my doctors just yet. I want to see if it clears up in time. Thanks for reading.
Alan

It might be from the catheter. Just drop your doc a line and you should get a response. After all, if it is something serious you don't want to wait and if it isn't you'll find that out too (and be relieved).

Occasional blood in the semen is not uncommon even if you have not had a foley catheter. I'd give it a time or two and if you are seeing blood every time (rust color is blood too, just older blood), then it is time to report to the doc.

If you are not having any associated symptoms of fever, swelling or pain in the testicles or in the prostate area, probably not a concern.

Take a deep breath and relax; this too will pass.

You may have a urinary tract infection. Since my pouch, crohn's, and temp ostomy I was getting them time to time. When it happens you are saying to yourself, "Not Cool!".
