Temporary ED???

I am six months after step one and still ED. The Dr told me it can take up to 18 month to come back, but I'm starting to get anxious. I would like to know if someone had the same problem for so long and got better after a while. I just need to hear some success story...
Thanks

Hi there not trying to scare you but I had the same song and dance I was told wait 6 months then another then another and 3yrs later i'm still ED , but I will tell you this it got better with time but not enough to do anything.

Also I read a article about the less we have a hard-on then scar tissue forms causing it to be worse, what happens every normal man gets one every morning so that being said the folks with ED do not so scar tissues forms with time so what happens , it makes it less likely with time to have a hard-on so,

My advice I have ED going on 3yrs and married its rough is to talk to your doctor and have him send ya to a uroligist I know I spelled it wrong but i'm to lazy and tired to spell check.

Have him give ya vigra or cialis and see if that works if not try the pump, if not success with that try to get the injection .

I myself i'm at 75% but just abrely enough for no intercourse so I tried them all but injection and I plan trying soon but its 99$ a month to try , vigra and such cost 35$ a pill its expensive and most insurance companys don't cover any of it.

The pump I got covered but it don;t work and its not comfortable for me it is to some.

I would like to see the people that own insurance companys to go with out sex and see if they like it and see if they change there minds having ED is no fun . Your mind says yes and your body says no its the most annoying thing on earth to go through

My wife is 30yrs in her prime and its rough not being able to perform , and it happen 11 months after we got married she is very crappy person and i'm sure thats why lol. Well I blame that but its rough and I hope one of them work for your good luck. any more info PM me I don't come on the forums alot anymore as i'm very ill.

Don’t know if this will help, but I developed the same problem. Doctor gave me Viagra and it worked, but felt inferior cause I could not did it on my own. I was being treated by a urologist. I changed and went to one of those hormone/anti aging doctors. He gave me shots of testosterone and got my levels to the top of the normal range. He gave a drug called HCG which keeps me body producing its own testosterone. That fixed it to the point my wife wants me to go back to the old way for a while.

If you are open to trying herbal remedies, the substance Butea Superba is fantastic for ED. It is from Thailand and has really withstood the test of time there for helping correct ED. It is known as the natural Viagra. However, unlike Viagra there is no danger in continuing to take it prophylactically. You also don't need to worry about taking it right before sex. I've heard some people say the effects can last for days. I have been wanted to try it myself but it was banned in Canada because Big Pharma was worried it would ruin their Viagra market profits, which is a good sign as to its effect. I also don't like having to rely on something external to fix a health problem, but if you have to I think going natural is the best way to go. Just a thought...

Here's a link to one supplier. There are many others if you look.

I apologize. I must correct my above post. I spend a lot of time researching many different alternative health products and I mixed up the one I meant to recommend. Should have thought harder before posting, sorry. Butea Superba has a lot of hype but very little to no support from most users as an effective product. The herb that has really withstood the test of time (about 2000 years) and helps improve erectile function is Horny Goat Weed. Much more readily available in health food stores also.

I'm no expert but I honestly think that your problem is completely related to you being nervous about this situation (e.g. am I going to be good enough, is she going to get off, am I doing this right, etc.). You need to understand that being anxious about the situation is only going to make it more difficult to get your guy up.

I had my final surgery in June of 08 and I still have e.d. Pills don't work and they once did. And trust me it's not in the head. I have been going to urologist, he perscribed this stuff kavaject; that you have take iv needle and shoot into penis, it hurts. sometimes it works great and other times does not work at all.
I'm very curious about Scott's post, what does HCG stand for? My urologist recently started me on testosterone shots. It was good for two days but he will only give me a shot once every two weeks.
the whole e.d. thing has really caused me alot of depression. I'm single, and very reluctant to get involved because I know I will not be able to perform.
It's like i got one problem fixed for another.
Lately, I've been resentful at surgeon, wondering if its his fault.
any feedback?

After 2 years now with ED and RE the doctor told me is pretty much permanent. I had a long discussion with my surgeon where I told that if before having surgery I knew as much as I know now about the whole thing I would decided to keep my rectum. And he agree with that. In my case I had the surgery because of HGD, my case of UC was pretty mild and the HGD was found only on the right side of my colon. So if I would have kept my rectum now I wouldn't have any ED/RE problems and the surgery would have been done in one step. I would on the other hand have to check the rectum more often and eventually end with a jpouch years from now, but still think it would have been worth it.

Yes, i believe in the temporary ED because sometimes, this condition is brought by stress and other psychological factors.

Erectile Dysfunction, can be due to stress and fatigue too. So don't worry too much, this can worsen the situation. ED can be treated depends on what causing it!
